Isabella’s skating journey began right here at Sungod, where she first stepped onto the ice in the CANSKATE program at just seven years old. Over the next 12 years, she progressed through Sungod’s development pathway and proudly represented the club at the Provincial Championship level.

Her passion for skating soon grew into a passion for helping others. As soon as she was eligible, Isabella began volunteering as a Program Assistant in CANSKATE, where she quickly demonstrated strong leadership skills and a natural ability to connect with young skaters.

Isabella went on to become a fully certified Skate Canada Club Coach through the National Coaching Certification Program. For the past three years, she has been an integral part of Sungod’s coaching team, working with skaters in both CANSKATE and the Foundation programs.

Having grown up as a Sungod skater herself, Isabella understands firsthand the impact that a supportive club environment can have on a young athlete. She is passionate about creating a positive and encouraging experience for every skater while helping them develop both their skating skills and confidence.

Outside of skating, Isabella is currently pursuing post-secondary studies in business, with a particular interest in finance and international business.

When asked what she enjoys most about coaching, Isabella says:

“Watching skaters improve week by week and seeing the excitement and confidence they gain when mastering a new skill is one of the most rewarding parts of coaching CANSKATE.”
