Head of Development

Hana Haraga has been a dedicated member of Sungod Skating Club since age five and has coached for 14 years. As a skater, she competed to the Provincial level in BC and achieved Gold level in Skills, Artistic, and Freeskate with Skate Canada.

Hana has served as Head of Development since 2021, working alongside the Director of Programs to oversee the club's development programs, from CanSkate Talent Identification through the Skate Canada LTD STARSkate framework. She also works with high-performance athletes and leads club workshops, seminars, events, and ice shows. Hana has proudly served as Creative Director for the past three Sungod Ice Shows and as Co-Director for an additional production.

Hana is a Fully Certified Provincial-Level Coach with Skate Canada and is currently a National Coach in Training, working toward her National Certification. She is also pursuing her Pilates teaching certification to further support athletes' strength, flexibility, injury prevention, and overall performance.

Passionate about giving back to the club that shaped her, Hana is committed to helping skaters develop strong technical skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of skating.
